Welcome to the Cambridge 177 Airgun Club website
This website will tell you a bit more about the club, what we do and how you can come and join in.
Cambridge 177 is a friendly sociable target shooting club accessible to all regardless of age and experience. We have a diverse membership that ranges from novices to experienced international shooters. Some of our members shoot purely for fun and others have achieved National and International success.
Cambridge 177 promotes the safe and competent use of airguns.
We shoot .177" (4.5mm) calibre air rifles & air pistols at paper targets on a 10 metre indoor range, and also have access to a 25 yard/20 yard indoor range.
Please note that ONLY .177" pellet airguns (up to 12ft-lbs power for rifles, up to 6ft-lbs for pistols) are permitted on the 10 metre range. Air weapons of other calibres (.22", .20", .25") are not allowed, neither are FAC rated airguns, "airsoft" guns (firing 6mm plastic "BBs"), nor .177" BB guns.
We meet at the Elizabeth Way Ranges in the centre of Cambridge, between 7:30pm and 9:30pm on most Fridays. You must be a member to participate in these sessions, however visitors interested in becoming a member may also attend, provided they have made prior arrangements with the Club Chairman (contact). Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The Elizabeth Way Range is moderately accessible to disabled persons, with a limited number parking spaces with ramped kerbs, an access ramp into the range itself, and (nominally) wheelchair accessible toilets.
Duke of Edinburgh's Award Cambridge 177 can take on a limited number of youngsters wanting to shoot for the "Physical Recreation" part of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
November 2012 Open Air Gun Competition; November 3rd, 4th, 10th & 11th results
